Chasing Murals
Art | Travel | Washington DC | United States
POW! WOW! is a global art movement that travels from city to city, bringing artists and communities together. This year, POW! WOW! has returned to Washington, DC and partnered with NoMa BID to bring 15 muralists to the nation’s capital. Many are local artists of the DC metropolitan area, but some have traveled from as far as Hawaii and Russia.
We went on a hunt to see all of the POW! WOW! DC murals, and conveniently mapped them out in case you wanted to check them out as well. All are located within walking distance from one another in the NoMa district of Washington, DC. Although the 6 murals on the Metropolitan Branch Trail are approximately a 15 minute walk from the rest of the murals, it is still manageable.
If you’re visiting Washington, DC and enjoy street art, definitely check out these murals! It’s a fun and free way to explore the city, keep scrolling for the map!

Right?! We think so too, there are some great local DC artists.
I love traveling art in general! There seems to be a lot more pop up museums. I never not liked street art, it’s never been something I sought out while traveling.
Ah, we love hunting for street art when we travel! Try it out next time, it’s a great feeling when you stumble across street art.
