Ai Weiwei has returned to the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum with his latest exhibit titled Trace. The exhibit features portraits of imprisoned political figures made completely of LEGO® bricks as well as two variations of his piece “The Animal That Looks Like a Llama but Is Really an Alpaca”.
If you are visiting Washington, DC anytime now until January 1, 2018, we recommend stopping by the Hirshhorn Museum to check out this exhibit!

The exhibit takes up the entire 2nd floor the Hirshhorn Museum, replacing the previous Yayoi Kusama exhibit.

The portraits are divided into “zones” with a corresponding touch tablet where you can learn more about each political dissident.
